How to read “average”. Where a robust national median is available we use it as the typical UK figure because veterinary prices can contain large outliers. Figures are rounded for readability and should be treated as a guide.

Region, provider ownership, appointment time, animal weight, complexity, diagnostics, medication, travel and aftercare can all change the final cost. Emergency fees in particular usually cover only the initial consultation or attendance.
For euthanasia and cremation, compare exactly what is included. Home euthanasia, practice euthanasia, communal cremation and individual cremation are different services and should not be treated as one price.
